- Born in Havana, Julie Miró is Julieta Miró’s daughter, one of Cuba’s top fashion models. As a result, Miró was exposed early on to the worlds of haute-couture, jewelry and art and has since developed a keen sense of style and aesthetics. Miró is a graduate of the prestigious Gemological Institute of America where she received degrees in Gemology, Design and History of Jewelry developing her own signature design style. It was at this time that she began to exhibit her own work selling to private clients and prominent shops in the United States and abroad. Attendant with her development in jewelry design as a career, Miró continued to develop her appreciation of other art forms such as painting and sculpture. In effect, for Miró, jewelry design is a form of sculpture. It has the power to create moods, provoke upbeat dialogue and produce positive reactions. Keeping with her tradition of unique designs, superb craftmanship and quality materials, she presents her newest collection proudly manufactured by hand in the USA.
